New Heights Jr. & Sr. High Youth Ministry

Mission Statement

Reach Junior and Senior High School youth by any God-honoring means necessary in order to equip them to defend their Christian faith and be actively involved in advancing the Cause of Christ for a life-time.

2010 Youth Ministry Goals (steps we plan to take this year to make the mission more of a reality)

1.  Provide a vibrant and relevant Junior & Senior High School weekly venue of the highest quality that balances in-reach and out-reach activities and opportunities that the youth will be excited to bring their friends to.

2.  Recruit, train and release a fully committed and well-gifted youth ministry team.

3.  Raise congregational awareness and funding to prayerfully seek and supply a full-time youth pastor by September.

4.  Create and implement a reproducible system and philosophy of youth ministry that is not dependent on any one person or personality.

5.  Implement parental / guardian involvement and awareness by providing quarterly meetings and continual feedback, as well as no less than one appointed parent representative serving on the youth ministry team.

6.  Provide six quality events throughout the year that balance in-reach and out-reach characteristics and purpose.

7.  Begin a scholarship financial aid fund for youth from single parent homes, and other homes in financial distress, to assist with activity and event funding for the youth to attend.

8.  Network with Young Life staff and program at North Central High School.

9.  Network with Cup of Cool Water downtown to reach out to homeless youth.

10. Network with other local youth groups, programs and events.
